Kevin Mejia, Founder of Brecilia: A Letter of Gratitude

Starting a new business is never easy, especially when you already have a full-time job, a family, and, like most people, monthly bills to manage. But we embraced the challenge, hoping to create a better future for our loved ones.

I began my journey in hospitality in Managua as a waiter at some of the city’s most renowned restaurants, including Xin Tian Di, Summer, and La Pérgola. Every table I served was an opportunity to bring a smile and create a memorable dining experience for every guest. Always looking to expand my scope of support led me to work in prestigious hotels like Casa Real, Holiday Inn Express, and Barceló Managua, where I gained valuable experience in delivering exceptional service and hospitality.

Along the way, we gained incredible experience working with prominent companies and organizations such as Concentrix, Sitel (Foundever), Ibex, Convergys, One Link, Remitly, Emergency Assistance Foundation, Access Digital, Health Coverage Helpers, and Med Advantage Advisors, too many others to list without making this post much longer. I sincerely appreciate all the lessons we learned in these remarkable places.
